On Thursday August 26th, we visited our client Ekol at their flagship warehouse ‘DC Lotus’ in Cayirova Turkey. It is the largest logistics centre in Turkey and one of the largest in Europe representing an investment of 150 million USD. Ahmet Musul, Founder & Chairman of Ekol, gave us a tour of his breath-taking facility. What especially stood out for us was a brand new refrigerated warehouse which was custom built for the storage and distribution of high value pharmaceutical goods. The capacity of the brand-new automated solution in Ekol’s dedicated pharma highly automated storage is 25.900 bins storage position and 1.500 bins/hour in and out throughput rate.

Ekol is a trendsetting third party logistics service provider with distribution centres covering 1,000,000 square meters of warehousing capabilities across Turkey, Germany, Italy, Greece, France, Ukraine, Romania, Hungary, Spain, Poland, Czech Republic, Sweden and Slovenia. Furthermore, they provide weekly intermodal transport through 52 block trains and 7,500 vehicles. The Ekol fleet includes 100 ICTS Mega TIR trailers under a long-term rental agreement.
