Multifunctional container chassis
A multifunctional container chassis is used for the transportation of containers, similar to a fixed container chassis. The difference lies in the flexibility of the container transport; thanks to the various possibilities for extensions, and with this the shift in the axle load for a maximum load capacity that is not exceeded, one 45 ft. container can be transported, but also two 20 ft. containers simultaneously. A multifunctional container chassis is often used for, for example, the transport of hazardous substances for which the ADR certificate is required. ICTS delivers its multifunctional container chassis standard with the ability to transport one 40 ft. container. However, due to the provision of a sliding table, it is also possible to transport one 45 ft. container, one 30 ft. container, two 20 ft. containers, or one 20 ft. container at the rear and one 20 ft. container in the centre of the chassis. In addition, the standard version of this flexible chassis has a mechanical twist lock (the connection of the container to the chassis).
Several extra options are possible as well:
- With gen-set (a generator-set for refrigerated containers)
- With aluminium rims for a minimum of empty weight
- With a pneumatic twist lock
- With a pneumatic sliding table
Based on the required use or business segment, the ICTS trailers are delivered with the specifications of your choice, including all certificates needed for their specific uses. Examples are a TüV certificate, ADR certificate (for hazardous substances) or a Huckepack certificate.
