Smyril Line's headquarters are in Tórshavn, in the Faroe Islands, and they have offices in Iceland, Germany, Holland and Denmark.

Their primary work area is travel and freight transport in the North Atlantic and they have six vessels to do it: Norröna, Mykines, Akranes, Hvítanes, Eystnes and Mistral.
