In 1967 the first tipping truck was christened Remitrans in the small village of Kester, Belgium, in honor of its founder, Remi Dedoncker, who once travelled the Belgian roads himself with his truck. Remitrans was not afraid of diversification. Soon the fleet was expanded with tanker trailers, also for international routes. When the company started expanding into storage and distribution, it built a new site with more space in Ninove in 1991. Today Remitrans has 90,000 m² of storage space in Ninove and Ghislenghien.

Transport evolved into logistics with tailor-made solutions for clients from various sectors, not only for pallet and piece goods but also bulk goods. In 2018 Remitrans chose ICTS coil trailers to meet the requirements of one of their clients, and they recently called on a number of additional coil trailers. ICTS is proud to work with a company that has built such a solid reputation for service and reliability for over 50 years.

Today, Remi's progressive personality is represented by son Ronald, daughter Vanessa and their respective spouses. The plans for the future are promising and also mindful of the environment: Remitrans uses LNG tractors, has its own LNG filling station, and in 2017 opened a cleaning station for food and non-food tanker trailers that uses recovered rainwater. These efforts won them a Green Truck Award in 2018. Remitrans strives to deliver even faster and more efficiently because the company has only one motto when it comes to its customers: "Only the best is good enough".
